Married 8/96
Surgery 11/99 @ 309 lbs
Divorced 11/01  @221
Decided Revision to DS 11/08

So....as it turns out, my marriage wasn't as good as I hoped.  After I lost 100 lbs, he became a dog humping my leg all the time.  I felt like a caged lioness, just doing circles.

So...I got out.

I had open RNY done @ Shands in Gainesville, FL, w/BC/BS of AL (that's where my corp office was, in AL) and with Florida Rehabilitative Services.

I was stable @ 221 for 2 1/2 yrs, but after going through a divorce, and especially since I was the one that left, my nerves was shot all to hell and back.

So my PCP put me on  citalopram  (I think...generic for Lexapro), at the follow up (30 days later) I had gained 28 lbs!!!!!!!!!!!!!  She couldn't believe it, she made me go back out, and she herself weighed me.

Then said "OH MY!!! I totally forgot that this meds make some people gain weight!"  UHHHH H-E-L-L-O!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So I told her to give me something to make me loose it.  Of course there isn't such a pill.

So I joined Weight Watchers....and I watched it alright.  Watched it go from 249 to 273 in 6 weeks.  Nice huh???

So that brings me to just about where I am now 279.

My B-F is totally ok with whatever I want.  He says I'm not fat.  However, I feel differently.  He just doesn't want me to go away (die) trying to be skinny/thin/healthy.  Matter of fact, he likes heavier, thick women.  He see models with hip bones sticking out, and he's like ewwww, what makes that attractive??!!

He thought Maria Carey was much hotter before she lost weight.  He likes her, but not as much as before.

um.........I live in GA now, and believe it or not, even in Atlanta, there aren't many docs that do a revision around here. Yes there are some, but not many that have a great deal of experience of the revision that I'm looking for.

I'm thinking about Dr. Husted.  He's in KY now, and that's only about a 6 hr drive for me.  However, I have to come up with $5,500, and that will be the huge challenge.

I wish he'd just become contracted with insurance companies and be done with it.  Not that he's having any problems with getting customers, but he'd have a lot more, if he were contracted.  But on the flip side, maybe he's thinking that if you put that much $ (and more for some people) into something, maybe just maybe, you'll obey the rules so to speak.

Anyway, that's where I am.  No money, and wanting a revision from RNY to DS.

So if there is anyone out there that's like to make a monetary donation, please don't be shy!  HA!!!
