I went to weight clinic today. I am down 36 pounds as of today. While I am excited about the weight loss, it felt anti-climaxtic. My food choices were all wrong and I was only talking to my nurse. She did schedule me for a fill in 2 weeks, so that was good. To me 6 pounds in 2 weeks is pretty damn good. I don't know, maybe I am being over sensitive.  Oh well, I STILL LOST 6 POUNDS!!!

Here I sit post op day 3.  I am feeling really good except for the incisions. They are not painful at all, just pulling. The dog did stand on one of the incisions and I thought I would die! It burned soooo bad. But I am very excited.  I am eating popsciles, soups, clear liquids and some baby food. More later

Surgery is tomorrow. I am still calm but excited as well. My fridge is stocked, my kids will be settled in various places and I am going to mop the den later today.  Clear liquids are killing me but I just eat some more when I get hungry. The clear liquid isopure is disgusting!!  I'd love my protien shake about now, but no go. 

My weigt today is 247. Which is 18lbs lost pre-op, YEA FOR ME!!!!  I started this journey at 274 so I am down a total of 27 pounds.  It feels good. Its the last puzzle of my journey of recovery.  I know that some issues will come up but I have plans in place for everything.

I am so glad its June. I can at least say I am have my surgery this month. I have 15 days to go. I have been following my high protein and low carb way of life.  Two days ago, I was stunned...I am really going to do this. I was afraid for about one minute.  I just know its going to be worth it. I want to feel better physically.  I began organizating my closet. I am getting a divorce, so now I have two closets...what a shame!! *giggle*  (I started the divorce, so I am a ok with this!)

I did go to Atlanta this past weekend to see my son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren.  Shannon, my DIL is on the same diet to loose the last of her baby weight so we worked together. I lost one pound over the weekend!!  Ya gotta love that!!!  My son made mashed 'potatoes' from cauliflower! OMG, I have not tasted anything so good.  He added cheese and bacon to it. Man, its going to my after surgery diet instead of mashed potatoes. 

Tonight I went to Crazy Johnny's Resturant. I had dippin bread. OMG it was sooooooo good..I have not had that much bread in a long time.  I sat there eating, I was hungry, but not really for bread. I had been on my protein shakes and my diet as to loose weight I have lost cravings for carbs. I didn't realize it until just now. I mean it was good, but it did not do for me what it used to do. Do you know what I mean?? I am sitting here, my stomach full and poking out and its uncomfortable. I really don't want to feel like this. My girlfriend who was with me had gastric bypass and I watched her eat about 6 shrimps, some bread and a couple bites of potatoes. It was really funny because she ate too much and we got to the parking lot, she started jumping up and down to make her food go down!! I laughed my a@@ off!!!   I could feel the food in her pouch waiting to go down!! I want to do that!!!!!!!!!

OK, I did have to move the surgery back to June 25th. I am ok with that. It will get done. I went to education yesterday and I  have lost 11 pound officailly!!  YEAAAAAAAAAA.  I am siked and on a roll now.

I got approved for surgery in only 24 hours!! Karen at my Dr. office said she had never gotten one from GIlsbar-EJGH so fast!!  I am scheduled for June 11th. It just cannot get here fast enough!!  I called my boss to let her know and I may have to post pone it for a week and I am crushed! I know its all aobut staffing but I am still dissapointed. BUT she has not said no yet so I am waiting patiently!!!  Ok, not very patiently!  LOL 

FInally, My doctors office made the first call to my insurance company! I can hardly stand to wait! I want this so bad. I have done a lot of work on me emotionally and I just want the physcal side to follow!!!!  I will be patient.  If I am not God will throw up road blocks.  SO I am still waiting.........

Uuuugggggggg!  I just found out that my insurance company will not pay for the vertical sleeve. It will only pay for the lap band, so that is the way I will go. I just have to accept that and move on. I really want to do this. I have been drinking the protein shakes daily. I have lost 4 pounds. One day at a time!!!!

I am waiting....I almost have all the information my insurance company requires for approval. My doctor has cleared me medically for surgery. I am just waiting for the 5 years of continued obesity. I am currently 5;10" and 265 pounds. I have been overweight all of my life and I am tired of the yo-yo's of dieting.  Tomorrow is the last doctor to visit for office notes. Until then.....
