3 weeks post-op Leslie has lost 27 pounds. She had her staples removed today and it wasn't bad at all. She handled it very well. She's still not ready to share her expericence yet, but, in my opinion she is doing fine. She has to remain on the pureed diet for another 3 weeks.

Sept 27, 2 weeks post-op Leslie has lost 24lbs. She seems to be feeling better. She is going for rides in the car and she's getting her son ready for school in the mornings. She's even doing his homework with him in the afternoon. She's doing laundry also. Yesterday was the first day she said, "that smells good. I'm hungry." I think she has finally stopped giving in to the blues. Thank you, God. She and her family have been staying with me while she recuperates. (Leslie, son and their cat) Leslie and her son and continue to stay, but the cat HAS GOT TO GO. Her cat keeps beating up my 2 cats. She has out worn her welcome.

Hi Leslie, Hope you're starting to feel better since your surgery. I understand it affects everyone differently. If you're having problems with depression, call a friend or family member and LISTEN to them for a little while. Sometimes that's all it takes to remember how truly fortunate we are! A zillon (well, maybe not a zillon) people are praying for your speedy recovery and success on your way to your goal weight. Thank God for this support system! God Bless you...it's a brave thing you did, taking control of your life! Hugs!!! Debi

Leslie has lost 19lbs so far. But, she is not a happy camper. I believe this has been a humbling experience for Leslie and she is not handling it well. Can someone give her some suggestions on how to handle her depression? She refuses to go out for tiny walks. She mostly sits in one spot. She does not want to be left alone. Does she need to see a professional????

Leslie is doing very well. She gained 11.5 pounds in the hospital due to the IV fluids they gave her. She lost the 11.5 pounds by Sept 19. She has not had any trouble eating so far. No nausea, no vomiting.

Today Leslie had her G-tube removed from her nose. She is up, walking to the bathroom and sitting in a chair. Everyday she seems to be getting a little stronger. She did have a bit of a temp last night. The X-Ray was negative for Pneumonia.

I'm Rena Morris, Leslies sister. Leslie's surgery was over about 12:30pm. Dr. Slotman came out to talk to my mother and I about 12:15pm. He said she did well, with very little bleeding. Her Gallbladder was filled with many many stones and of course was removed also. We were able to visit with her for only 5 minutes at about 2PM. She was awake and talking slowly. She was in some pain and had just gotten her morphine pump.
