Best Wishes for a successful surgery and smooth recovery! Weigh to go! I just read another post from someone who just had surgery and the thing that hurts the most is their BACK. And it is PAINFUL, not just uncomfortable. THE LAST THING YOU NEED TO TELL YOUR SURGEON, BEFORE THEY PUT YOU UNDER, IS TO PUT SOMETHING UNDER YOUR KNEES TO TAKE THE PRESSURE OFF YOUR BACK!!! Time and time again folks are coming out of the O.R. and their back is killing them. It’s because you are lying flat on your back for hours on a hard surface. How long can you do that now? If the surgeon will just put a rolled up blanket under your knees this problem will be eliminated! Got It?... Good…. Problem solved. (Or at least talk it over with him/her).

Thank you all for the kind words and thoughts regarding my upcoming surgery. Because of some significant medical problems in the past I have decided not to have WLS. The physical and financial risks are too great for me to consider this procedure now. It has been a difficult decision for me to make and not a decision taken lightly. I have enjoyed all the people I have chatted with on this board and will continue to check on all of you and your weight loss progress. My husband recently had RNY so I read the Q & A daily just to keep him informed when he has questions. Again, thanks for the warm thoughts. Kathy
