June 25, 2013 my whole life changed I was approved to have my VSG surgery within days January 2, 2013 I went to the hospital for issues breathing. My chest cavity was inflamed and I was diagnosed with pleurisy. Scared the hell out of me. I'm a undercover smoker so what I was doing in the dark which was eating alone and smoking came to light and it was a very big light. Plus being 300lbs was really killer. Well 2011 my little brother was killed and the pain of his death and watching my mother health decline because of a broken heart I just ate. Well the health scare the doctor during my breathing treatment stated it's your weight that's causing you to be I'll. I knew that but I never was affected until this moment. So I started going on YouTube on that site I lost weight with HCG and that nutty ass plan then I started seeing the same folks that I was following getting vsg. And that's where I got the idea

YouTube and Obesity.org help me make the decision that help save my life. This is the best thing that I could have ever done for me. Now its 24 months later I'm down 102 lbs yes I'm a slow loser but I'm not eager to lose weight to fast the hard part has already been done. Yes I have lost my way far as the gym and that's why my weight loss is slow but my clothes are my reward not so much what the scale says. My next goal is to lose 38 lbs if I can lose 100 38 would have me at my goal of 180.  Overall I'm so happy.

NON SCALE VICTORIES 

I LOVE GETTING ON THE SCALE BUT TO BE HONEST I NEVER SEE IT MOVE BUT.....

1.WALKING AROUND IN 5 INCH HEELS ALL DAY IN STEAD OF PUTTING ON FLIP FLOPS.

2.ALL MY TOWELS WRAP AROUND MY WHOLE BODY PLUS SOME

3.I AM DOWN 4 DRESS SIZES 26/28 GOODWILL,EBAY,AND FAT FRIENDS NOW HAVE THOSE,24/22 STILL IN THE CLOSET, BUT WEARING 18/20 AND MOSTLY 18'S SO I HAVE BEEN DOING SOME SHOPPING

4.I HAVE BEEN GETTING ATTENTION FROM DIFFERENT KIND OF MEN. NOW THIS ONE IS KIND OF FUNNY BECAUSE I NEVER HAD A PROBLEM GETTING A MAN BUT....HE WAS NEVER THE ONE I WAS REALLY ATTRACTED TOO SO I GUESS I JUST HAVE MORE OPTIONS HA, HA, GIGGLES.... BUT I STILL LIKE MY HUSBAND SO I GUESS THEY CAN JUST LOOK RIGHT.. I CAN'T STOP THEM FROM DOING THAT.

5.I GOT FIRED FROM MY JOB THAT'S A NSV BECAUSE I GOT TIRED OF WORKING FOR THE FAT ASS DOCTOR ANYWAY. SHE WAS A HATER....

6.AND I LOVE MYSELF MORE BECAUSE WHEN I LOOK IN THE MIRROR I SMILE BACK AT MYSELF SO YOU CAN SAY SHE IS HAPPY NOW.

7.MY STOMACH HAS SOME SORT OF PACK...NOT A SIX PACK BUT ITS NOT A ROLL SO I'M GOOD.

8.ALMOST 7 MONTHS AND I'M 70 LBS DOWN. I HAPPY WITH THAT JUST THINK I KNOW SOMEONE WHO HAS LOST 200 LBS IN A YEAR AND ONE THING I CAN SAY IS

THE BIGGER YOU ARE THE MORE THE WEIGHT COMES OFF BUT I JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND THAT. SHE IS NOW DOWN TO THE SIZE I STARTED AT AND SHE'S LOVING IT. HOW DOES THAT WORK?

9.I DON'T REWARD MYSELF WITH FOOD ANYMORE BUT I WILL GO BUY THEM SHOES...

10. I DON'T DENY MYSELF OF SWEETS IF I'M CRAVING THEM A BITE OF DANISH AND THEN I GO RUNNING SO I'M COPING.

SLOW LOSER TO SOME BUT I COULD NOT LOSE 6 LBS IN SIX YEARS SO I AM DOING GREAT HONEY

I AM VERY CONTENT AND TRYING TO KEEP IT ALL POSITIVE.

June 25, 2013 I was draped and gowned and wheeled right into surgery. Let me say right after surgery was not a walk in the park. Honey it was pure misery Today after two days in the hospital I can say today was so much better. 2bcontinued im on meds so im tired.

Ok so as bad as I would like to get the sleeve I dont know if Im truly ready to stop trying to lose weight on my on.What do you ladies think? After seeing everyone thats has done the surgery and for us that are waiting, how did you make the decision to move forward? And were you faced with any challenges? Talk to me please..Im excited and undecided help.
