Had RNY surgery on monday, came home today

Feb 12, 2014

feeling sore but know I made the right decision.  I am walking and sipping.  Like others have posted the incision sites are painful.  Where the drain was is hot but the doc saw me this am and said this was normal.  Hopefully now that the drain is out it will start feeling better.

RNY on Monday!

Feb 08, 2014

I have been going through this process since Aug 2013.  I did a lot of second guessing of  was I doing the right thing, did I choose the right procedure, will I be able to eat such small portions, what can I eat at which phase.  I have to say, I have been reading post after post along with comments and all concerns were asked by someone else.  I am sure I made the right decision.  With all the great advise I have read I'm sure I will be very successful.  My biggest reason for getting the surgery is quality of life.  I have severe arthritis in my right knee and plantar faciatis with a bone spur in my left foot.  I can't wait to get on the floor and play with my grandchildren!
