I have always had a battle with my weight from age 7 on up. No matter how active i was or how i watched what i ate, it didn't matter. It was very frustrating!! I had done lots and lots of research on the bariatric surgery. I researched it over a 5 yr span, so when i went to my first informational seminar, i knew most of the things they told me. The risks were not a shock to me. I knew the pros and cons to this surgery. I had no doubts in my mind that this was the right thing for me to do. I had my surgery December 7,2007 and I went in weighing 285 pounds. I am now one year post op and i have had no complications what so ever. I am now weighing in at 155 pounds and I would love to get to 130. I know will I get there too. I would recommend this surgery to people who have battled with their weight and that have done lots of research on it. This is one surgery you do not want to take lightly. You need to know the pros and cons before you make your decision. This is not a quick fix problem to being obese. It is just a tool to help you change your life around. If you use it appropriately it will work wonders. Feel free to ask any questions that you may have. I am looking forward to saving up enough money to have a tummy tuck once i reach my goal weight of 130pds!!
