My Mother and Father were over weight adults. My mother had full blow Diabetes high blood presure at 50, She died from a Stroke at the young age of 64. I never had a weight problem as a youth or teen. I think eating for fun, entrainment, and stress just became part of my life style. My husband always had a weight problem but was athletic so he could keep it some what under control. He was a meat and potatoes kind of guy. Dinner was always a full course meal. I realized my weight was out of my control when I reached 220, so I was working on it. Then stress of rising my teens just put me over the edge in 2004, I was at my highest 290. I really started making my self and my health a priority in my life. I have been eating healthier and exercising, I got down to 240, but with the stress of my divorce I was losing the battle as my weight was creeping back up, even though I was eating better and exercising, I was still struggling to lose the weight and keep it off. I am so thankful I was able to have this Surgery before my health & weight got any worse. I am ready to fight my way back to a heathy weight & lifestyle.
