Well I'm home now and doing good   I'm very sore but I'm moving around alot... The surgery went well but the anesthesia made me so sick.. The first day I was in so much pain that I was like " What the hell did I just do to myself? " lol.... But as days went on I started to fell alot better.... The next day I was up and walking the halls all day.... I had a huge private room so I had alot of company during my stay and my baby sister never left my side..... Everyone at the hospital was so nice and helpful... My surgeon was awesome!!!! I'm glad to be home although I cant really sleep... I go from the bed to the sofa to get comfortable.. I'm up and walking around the house constantly... I'm starting to drink more fluids although I'm not eating because I'm not hungry.... I have a home health-care nurse coming to check on me later on so that's good... If anyone can get me some tips about what to eat and all then please feel free to send me a message to help a sister out..lol... Thank GOD I'm finally on the loser bench

Tomorrow is the big day and I'm nervous as heck!! lol.... I have to be at the hospital at 5:30am, my bag is already packed and waiting by the door  OH fam please pray that everything works out alright for me.. I'm taking my laptop with me so if I have the energy to blog during my hospital stay then I will if not I will when I get home... Luv Yall

4 more days until my surgery.... Yea!!!!!!! 

I finally have my surgery date!   My surgery is scheduled for August 17th, 2010 yea! I am so freakin excited!!!!!!! I can't wait to join the loser bench with the rest of my OH fam  I am so looking foward to my rebirth.

So I switched Surgeons because the person that I originally had is going out on maternity leave at the end of May and will be out for 3months or more... So Dr. Schweitzer is gonna be my surgeon. I have an appointment to meet with him on May 17Th, 2010 and to get my surgery date.. YEA!!!!......

I got APPROVED by insurance, Yea !!!!! I'm sooooo freakin excited

I have faxed everything over to the surgeon's office   They told me that I should hear something within 45 days " that sounds like a very very long time"  so i'm crossing my fingers hoping that this is it..... Pls pray for me OH fam!!!!!

 I had the EDG test done last friday and everything went well..... They did a biospy, so now I'm waiting for the results to come back to see if they are gonna put me on antibiotics because my H Ployri blood test came back positive.  I had submitted my paperwork to the surgeons office last friday only to get a phone call yesterday saying that they couldn't send my paperwork into the insurance company yet because my pcp didn't write a letter of recommendation for surgery...ugh... So i called my pcp yesterday and she told me that she would type it and send it to me in the mail today.... so hopefully I will get it by the end of the week and I will be able to send it in..... This is a very loooong process and i will be glad when its over.

Ok so I thought that after Monday March 8th I would be done with the different pre-op test because these copays are killing me now I have to get a EGD test done...ugh... If anyone has had this test done before, could you pls tell me what to except? I just want all this pre-op stuff to be over with, so that I can submit my paperwork and the insurance company can get the ball rolling ......

I have completed 5 months of the 6 month process of being supervised by my doctor for the diet history requirements for gastric bypass..... Yay !!!  I have also completed my psyc eval " I'm not crazy...lol...." and the nutrition class and 1:1 eval, so I have 1 more month of getting weighed in and I have to get labs drawn, the EKG, and my chest x-ray and I'm finish with all the requirements for my insurance company.... I'm so excited!! I am starting to get really nervous though..... I thank God that I have alot of people supporting me because this was a very hard decision to make. I hope that the outcome will be sucessful.
