I got my surgery date!!! 

MAY 19th!!

I'm so excited I can hardly contain myself!! I'm feeling so may emotions! I'm Scared, I'm Happy, I'm Anxious, I'm Nervous... and so on!!
I cried to my fiance last night! This is something I've always wanted... I just didn't think it would ever be truly attainable!!

Thank you all for the kind loving words of support! I'm so excited to continue this journey with you!!

Well... after my EGD they said my surgeon would call me within 2 weeks to set up a surgery date. 2 weeks will be Monday and I'm still waiting!! 
The waiting is the part that kills me the most, the anticipation. I'm so ready to get my surgery date setup and get on with my new lifestyle!!

Anyhow, I hope everyone else is having a FANTASTIC Saturday! I'll be bugging my surgeon's office on Monday!

I have the HIATAL HERNIA!!!!

The surgeon who did my EGD yesterday said my doctor will be calling within the next 2 weeks to set a surgery date!!!

I am BEYOND excited!!! 

This is all happening!!!

I've not told any friends on Facebook, I've only told family and a few of my co-workers!!
I'm still unsure whether or not I want to announce it before it happens!!

Well I feel very silly writing blogs... at one point in time I used to be very good at it.

I'm just a 25 year old mom with an almost 3 year old named Matthew, and a 9 month old named Myles. Until I had kids, i pretty much figured I would always be overweight and would just have to deal with it. I wanted to have weight loss surgery, but it just didn't seem attainable! Once I had my first son I started wanting to lose weight more than ever. I wanted to be active enough to run around with him and play, I wanted him to be proud of me and not ashamed of me. I went to the gym almost daily for 6 months, had a personal trainer, ate right, and even dropped my favorite guilty pleasure(Diet Coke) but still.. I only lost 8lbs for my efforts. I felt cheated, I felt like there was no point working towards something that wasn't getting any closer. 

Then I got pregnant again... and went balls to the wall. I craved it, I ate it. I contacted several different weight loss clinics to set up a consult... but something always happened or fell through so I wouldn't be able to go, or get off work, etc. Then I found True Results... needless to say I walked in and they told me exactly what they could do for me and what they couldn't. Now, it's just a waiting game!! Luckily, my insurance company hasn't required any additional "medically supervised" time, diets, etc. So granted... if they find what they need to on Monday during my EGD then I'm green light for a VSG!!!

Definitley counting my blessings, praying like mad, and keeping my fingers crossed along the way!!
