Well I am a month out as of yesterday.  I am down to 201.4.  I can defiently say this isn't the easiest thing I have ever done and I have cheated a few times but my sleeve keeps me pretty honest and reminds me what I can't have.  All in all things are going pretty well.  I am happy I had the surgery for the most part but sometimes I do miss being able to eat what I want.  I wish I would have been able to lose the weight on my own without surgery but alas I couldnt.  I finally stopped weighing twice a day.. It was just driving me nuts.. Up a pound down a pound up 2 lbs down a lb....  So now I just weigh on Tuesday mornings..  Maybe by next Tuesday I'll be in the onederland status....  heres to hoping...

I am really hating this pre op diet.  I am on day 6 of 14.  The first day was by far the worst as the food is awful.  I had a terriable headach and almost threw up.  I don't really feel very hungry well... other than head hunger.  Today I really wanted Wendy's chicken sandwich but happy to report I resisted the urge.  However, I did have a small nibble of my sons burger chewed it up and spit it into a napkin.. I know... gross.. 

As the date comes closer I am getting a little more nervous.  My husband is supportave somewhat but he really would rather me not have this surgery.  He just has the normal concerns anyone would have.. He also has expressed worry that I will get skinny and leave him.. lol...  My kids say they don't want me to be skinny.. they like me "fluffy".. 

Anyway, with the pre op diet I don't really feel much different as far as energy although I don't feel bloated, stuffed and uncomfortable like I used to.  OH, I have lost 8 lbs so far...  I know it's just water weight but 8 lbs is 8 lbs... 

I went for my consultation Wednesday 4/21/10 I paid my surgery holding spot $500 and also had my psych eval which was $100.  I have to go back on 5/24 for edjucation classes and to get my medifast diet supplies which will cost $188..  I am excited and terrified at the same time.  I hope surgery goes smoothly and I have no complications.  I am self pay for this entire journey and having complications really makes me worry as I have maxed out my 401k. 

Anyway, let the journey begin....
