My weight loss journey started on May 2010 when I made the decision to attend a seminar. At that seminar I learned about weight loss surgery options and just knew in my heart that it was the right decision for me. After consulting with doctor, we both came up with a plan that it was the perfect decision for me to have weight loss surgery. On August 30, 2010 I had my vertical sleeve gastrectomy. That was the day that my life changed for the better. I went through a phase where I felt very uncomfortable losing so much weight rapidly. But then I discovered that a lot of my health risks and issues were going away. You transition from eating whatever I wanted to eating a very small amount was not something I was comfortable with. With time and mental preparation therapy and family support I was able to overcome my old eating habits. It is now seven years later and I am in much better health I am a lot more confident in who I am as a person and I am currently living my life helping people change their lives daily to live healthier and get fit. I know now that weight loss is my calling in life.
