Hey everyone my name is Nikki and I am hoping to have the Lapband surgery in a few months. I am currently weighing 293lbs and am extremely excited about having this surgery! I'm a new mom of the cutest 7 month old baby boy. I used to believe that surgery was a cop out because i was always able to go to the gym and drop the lbs i wanted to. But after i had my son the weight just wont come off and is now causing me health problems. I was never one to be unhappy with my weight because pre-baby i was anywhere between 234-245 which to most is really heavy but i was very happy with myself and the way i looked. Im expecting this surgery to assist me in a healthier, longer life for my son because he already can outrun me in his walker! LOL!
I'd really like to hear from people who have had the sleeve & lapband surgeries. I'd like to know any and all pros and cons of your surgery!!!!! only to give myself a heads up of what could happen.
