Hello Everyone!

Well let me start of by telling you a little about my "journey". I am a 22 yr old nursing student, I graduate from school in May '10, soo excited. Well i have been chubby(i hate the O word) pretty much my whole life, i really started to notice the weight gain about 6th grade. My parents quickly put me in sports so that kind of got rid of the excess. In jr high i was a cheerleader so i stayed thin through that, but when i reached high school that changed. I was diagnosed with pcos in the summer before 9th grade and i was told if i stayed active and continued at a normal weight i would be fine...well that didn't happen I quit cheerleading, switched school and blew up, I was 272 before I knew it and i was only in 10th grade!!! Luckily, i met a boy who i was totally in love with and quickly shed 92lbs with in like 6 months(very unhealthily). I was "skinny" again! yay me right! not so much. College introduced a new freedom to me, no monitored eating, no kitchen, fast food everywhere, straight heaven for a former fat kid. I slowly crept back into the 200s. I took some time off from school to move with my mom to texas, during that time i yo-yo in the 200s until now where i reached my highest point ever at 305. Now i realized that i need more structure and i cant do this on my own. If i dont take control know who knows where i'll be in a few years. I have decided that weight loss surgery is the right option for me, and my mom agrees the same. I have fat genes and i have to deal with it. I cant say that there is one skinny woman in my family. I dont want to end up with diabetes or high blood pressure and the host of other health problems my family has. So i hope to make freinds, gain knowledge, and take control of my life as on now!
