My husband had VSG on July 28th in Dallas by Dr. James Davidson. I came on here to hopefully get info, tips about the surgery, post-surgery etc.
My husband is one of those who has struggled with weight issues since childhood. He had considered the RNY, but when hearing about the sleeve, he was strongly impressed that this was the route he wanted to go if he decided to pursue WLS. ( He was actually scheduled to have a bypass 4 years ago, but in the pre-op testing, they discovered he needed quadruple bypass heart surgery which he consequently had done. After that, he was not eager for additonal surgery for awhile. During that time, the sleeve came on the scene and he decided finally to go that route.)
