I had gastric bypass in 1981, lost about 120 lbs and have regained 99% of it back over the years. As a matter of fact I think I really only had about 1 year of being "thin" before I staarted to gain. I will be having Stomaphyx on January 31, 2008 at Tufts New England in Boston with Dr. Scott Shikora. The way I understand it since it is experimental, the insurance company (I have Connecticut Blue Cross/ Blue Shield) won't cover it.

I had a lap band placed over my old gastric stapling and so far it has worked out pretty well. I go for my first fill on 1/15/09 and then it will feel as though my journey will begin in earnest.
