Protein shakes only!
Jan 30, 2013
The doctor who originally performed my surgery no longer does gastric bypass surgeries. I had some questions so I called Dr. Clarke's office and his secretary was so nice and informative. She told me in order to jump start my weight loss again I would have to go back to the basics and that is, protein shakes only. I started today and I have been doing pretty good, no cravings for any food just my shakes, water and walking. The secretary said that I will need to do this for at least 2 weeks and I should lose between 8-25 lbs. I don't know but it got me excited.
I need some help!
Jan 29, 2013
Well, I am back to where I started with Obesity help. When I was first thinking about weight loss surgery I found this site and it helped me through everything. I am 9 years out from my RNY surgery and have begun to gain weight. I had a total weight loss of 178 lbs and have gained back 60 pounds of it. I am not going to let this weight beat me. I have been walking and I drink a gallon of water a day and I started portioning my food and leaving the carbs alone and the fried foods but after 3 weeks I have only lost 2 pounds. I am so frustrated right now because actually I have been working on losing the weight since September and the scale does not want to move. I was thinking about a revision but I do not want to go through the surgery part again, I am tired of surgery. I started having pain in my stomach area a few months ago and it wakes me up at night. I have no idea what it could be but its like a real bad stomach ache. My doctor is running some test right now to try and find out what is going on. If there is anyone out there that can help me get the scale moving again, it will be greatly appreciated.

Walking at Work!
Jan 09, 2008
I have started back walking and getting my exercise on. Yesterday, we decided in my office that we will walk for our hour lunch. Wow, I was doing good yesterday, but the legs and thighs are burning today but that is a good thing. Only have 20 more pounds to go so we will see how long it takes me.

Arm Lift
Dec 18, 2007
I had my arms done in April 2007. It was 4 1/2 years since I had surgery and I had lost alot of weight and all the skin was in my arms. I couldn't wear jackets, shirts had to be larger to fit my arms and I was uncomfortable. I paid $3500 cash because I had a $2000 dollar discount because I had my tummy tuck done with this surgeon also. Well, before the arms I was in a size 16 and now I am down to a 12 and the skin is hanging again and the scars are not cute at all. The doctor wants to go back in to tighten it all up again but I would have to pay for the anesthesia which would be a couple of hundred. First of all, the arms was worst than any surgery that I have every had and I really do not want to go back through the pain again. I think I am going to try the gym for a while and see what happens because now I am loosing and can't control it. I want to keep some butt, the surgery can't take everything away.
