Surgery date

Hello all As they say I've been lurking here for quite a while. I finally got my date I'm scheduled for Aug. 5 2014. I'm excited, nervous and so very afraid of failure. I keep telling myself I'm 43 years old I'm prepared. I'm trying to get as much knowledge as possible before surgery but it's so much out here I'm afraid I might forget the important stuff. So what would you say are the most important things to definitely do in order for long term success? All answers would be appreciated.
