Hey all! I am almost 2 weeks out(tomorrow) and i feel like I am doing ok...I've been tolerating everything i eat, and have not had any incision pain or infections...also getting my JP tube out was not as bad as i had expected and i had no pain afterwards... my only problem so far happened on Monday (july 23- early tuesday morning) i was rushed to the ER because of severe stomach pain that wasnt letting me sleep( i thought was gas at first) and then bloody stool...then on the way to the ER i threw up BLOOD!!! I was so freaked out! My temp. was 94.3 and then at the ER was about 96...they did X-rays and cat scans and i couldnt swallow the contrast dye fore the cat scan and the 2 times that i tried i threw up bright red blood again! finally they did an endoscopy and wound up courtorising(sp?) a blood clot that i had in my stomach(not related to my legs or the lovenox injections) and then i was in the ICU until thursday nite and on wed recieved a blood transfusion...it was pretty scary, but i made it through and i feel fine! I don't regret having the surgery at all...i still miss certain foods but i know in the end this will all be worth it...

In good news I lost 25 lbs already!!!

now i just gotta work harder on getting in all my protein and fluids...i'm eating more meals than i am drinking... ahhhhh

Hey all! I finally attended the last of my psych consultations and my last support group meeting, and all I have left to do is my EKG which is tomorrow afternoon, and my last weigh in @ the docs and my pulmonology consult which are all scheduled for next week, so then i'm FINALLY going to get my surgery date! 

I'm kinda nervous, but excited!
