Well, i think my body is telling me i'm at GOAL!! yeehaw!

Jun 12, 2009

sorry for not posting very much.  yup, been busy.  this new life i have is great.  but i must say it is taking some getting used to ... i mean this new body!  wow, it is so different.  i can bend, i can twist, i can do anything i try!  heck, i can even cross my legs twice!  ha, ha, ha!  but i will say, it is taking some getting used to.

so as i mentioned above ... i think my body is telling me i'm at goal.  that's what my surgeon had said.  it will know.  and yup, i think it does.  i have levelled off.  i am now at 150.  i had originally set a goal of 140, not really knowing what my goal was, so i have now adjusted it.  on looking at my shoulders, arms and legs ... i don't think i'd want to lose much more weight.  the only place i could use a few less is in the stomach, but there is no guarantee that is where it will go.  plus i want to have a little cushion area ... so i can go up and down a few pounds.

now the wildest part is ... it was one year ago this same month that i started this journey!  how wild is that.  so from start to finish ... meaning going to Michigan for first consultation, sending in OHIP request, getting denied and preparing the letter of my life ... to having the surgery and losing the weight ... it has been ONE YEAR!  wow, if anyone had of told me i'd be done in a year's time i would have thought they were nuts!  seriously!   here i thought the weightloss would take a year, not the whole process.  yeowzi!!

anyway, i have now started building my wardrobe.  i can buy clothes right off the rack!  it is great!  i can even get real cheap clothes!  wow!  big clothes always cost so much before eh?  ha, ha, ha!  i still buy in groups though ... if i find something that i like and it fits nicely, i'll get 3 of them.  ha, ha, ha!  different colours, but the same!  that was how i used to buy fat clothes.  when they fit it was great ... get a few!  ha, ha, ha!!  wonder why i still do that.  oh well.

so ... all i will say is i love my rny!  wow, i feel incredible.  i have a new life!  and i love life now too!  i had told myself it could take a year ... but the bulk of the weight was well off even before 6 months!  wild eh?

good luck to anyone else out there who is going to go through this process ... it is wonderful ... just always respect your pouch!!

take care and thanks for reading!!
