One Week and still counting....................................
May 26, 2008
Well, I am now officially one week away from my surgery date....YAY
I have never felt time move so very slow.. At least now I can say "well this time next week" etc...
I am very happy to say that I got a very welcome visit from "aunt Flo" today. I had been seriously dreading going into surgery after just starting. Needless to say my DH is not quite as enthused about this development as Moi...lol
I am still finding things to buy each and every day, and justify it as stocking up. I refuse to buy any new clothes what so ever as I do not want to waste my time or money.
I can honestly say that I have yet to experience any nervousness at all. I have also not felt any of the usual "what if this does not work for me" syndrome. I look at it like this, I will not fail, I cannot fail, I shall not Fail!!!
Well I guess this is it for now. I am off to do laundry...

10 Days and counting...........................................
May 22, 2008
Well i am officially counting the hours now..lol
I have finished with all my pre-op tests and post-op class. I have just about finished getting everything stocked up.
One weird thing that happened in my pre-registration was the nurse taking all of my info could not understand how i do not drink tea or coffee. I explained that tea has made me violently ill since i was a child and she decided to put that as an allergy, I have never enjoyed coffee, I even hate the smell of it. Good thing DH dislikes it as well.lol
Anyhoo,
I went and had my children's portraits made yesterday and they are wonderful, I will not be able to pick them up until June 5 so that means my mom or DH will get to see them before me as I will surely not feel up to going out to a mall 3 days after surgery.

2 Week Pre-Op
May 16, 2008
Well I guess it is time that I start blogging. I swear I never would have imagined that time would literally CRAWL by!
I mean everyone said it fly by, and this is like a kid waiting for Christmas.
Anyhoo, I got a call from Norton's today to pre-register me for all of my pre-op tests (blood work and chest x-ray). I go next Wednesday (5-21) and afterwards I will attend my post-op class with my hubby. Afterward we are staying at Caesar's for the night so that I can eat at Portico one last time. I swear they have the best Filet Mignon in the states. I also get the lobster tail.. Oh, my mouth is watering just thinking about it. Of course we only live about 25 minutes from there but I thought this would be a little romantic just to stay overnight. Not to mention it will be comped...lol
I have purchased just about everything that I think I will need for after RNY including, but not limited to, The Magic Bullet blender, a body pillow in soft microfiber, a tray table to set next to the recliner (in case I am more comfortable sleeping there instead of upstairs in my bed) A truckload of different Protein shakes, vitamins, liquid tylenol, gas-x strips, calcium supplements, etc...
