Down to about 311
May 12, 2008
I am now stuck at around 311 for the last few weeks. Doing good though. Still not working out as much as I would like. Things are going good. Can eat pretty much anything as long as it is not too much. Too much and I might have to lay down (sugar at least).
Another Month
Jan 10, 2008
Well, it took another month to lose about 5 more pounds. I did eat a hell of a lot over the holidays.
339 today.

Low or high?
Dec 11, 2007
After calling my surgeon and getting advice about my low iron and low vitamin D I went to my PCP and talked about it. Well it turns out his note was wrong. I had high vitamin D and normal Iron. I am aniemic though. He said that is not specific to iron in my case. So I guess I am ok. So why was I so tired last week? My surgeon said perhaps I need more salt and I was also on Antibiotics. He said I could have had a bad reaction to those. Anyway I have added more salt and I am feeling better already.
345 yesterday.

A few more
Dec 02, 2007
I told myself i would start working out again after I got past 350. I am 349 today. Yesterday I signed up for the gym. I am still having ankle issues and I do not have very much energy. We shall see how much I use it. I am planning on starting in the pool.

Got on the scale today.....
Nov 10, 2007
Strange how this works. It seems very different from when i had the lap band. I had not lost anything in the last 1.5 or more weeks. Today I got on the scale and I was down 5 pounds. I could swear just yesterday i was 360 or so and today I am 355.

Almost forgot the best thing about it all......
Nov 05, 2007
I should include the best part of this entire thing. I have type 2 diabetes. Before surgery I was taking meds for this. Even with meds I could not keep it under about 300. Now, 40 days later it is NORMAL! It goes between 120 and 145. Pretty much normal. And NO MEDS!
I am going in for a check up tomorrow with my PCS. I will probably get some blood tests done and will report back after I get the results back.

40 days post op update
Nov 05, 2007
Hello.
I am now 40 days post op.
The revision went well. It was a bit painful at first. I spent 2 days in the hospital. 1 day is the norm for Mini-Gastric Bypass people who go to Dr. R in Vegas. I traveled there from Seattle. He took out my lap band and revised me to the MGB. I had an 8 foot bypass. The first week was rough. I was very week. I lost about 20 pounds that week. It turned out was very dehydrated and was not taking in enough salt. On the plane ride home I started drinking alot of water and salt. By the next day I was feeling better and back at work (desk job). 1 week later I had gained back about 10 pounds. Over the next few weeks I stared losing again and now I am down 28 pounds. I can eat pretty much anything now. I just need to be careful not to eat to much sugar or fat so I won't have bad gas or bowel movements. I have not had any thing I would consider real dumping syndrome from what I have heard about it at least. My clothes are getting kind of baggy. My plan is to start going to the Gym at 350 pounds.

The day is coming soon....

About two weeks left until I go to Las Vegas for the Mini Gastric Bypass. I am feeling good about this. Everything is all set up and ready. I will be staying in town with my family for 1 week. I hope my family has a good time in Vegas. I think I will be a bit out of it although some recover fast.
