Sure does seem like it's been longer than 15 days. No more incision pain, except for one small one above my belly button and right at my waist line. It isn't healing as well as the others, but it will be fine. Had my first post-op Dr. visit on Wed. When I first began this journey in February (that is when I first started looking into having the surgery) until Wednesday, I've lost a total of 35 pounds - 15 of it before surgery (from February to May) and then 20 pounds from May 15th until May 28th - not bad!!
Having trouble with the protein drinks, but the Dr.'s office gave me a great idea for the chocolate protein mix (Optipro) - add one tablespoon of sugar free chocolate pudding mix in the blender when making your shake - it makes ALL the difference in the world. If is creamy, more chocolate taste, less after taste. I might actually be able to get my proteins in now. You can use the vanilla puding if you have the vanilla protein mix.
One issue I have is a continued problem with diarrhea, everyday, almost all day, always after I eat something. And now that I'm going to be adding more protein again, it's only going to get worse. The Dr. said that once I get on solid food and get my "regular" diet going that it should stop, but in the mean time, it is literally a pain in the a$$.
I start solid foods today, so I'm hoping I get my regular diet going pretty quickly. I know there have to be other people out there with this problem - any advice?

9 Day's Post-surgery

Doing pretty well, few pulls and strains in the incision areas. Having a hard time getting enough protein. I hate the protein vials (3 oz. with 42 grams of protein). Trying the Optpro vanilla and choc. flavors. So far the vanilla has done best - after adding a drop of vanilla extract. Going to get some sugar free hersey's syrup to add to the choc. flavor - was told that would help. Chicken noodle soup has become a good friend..lol I have to go back to work in a couple of days and I'm a bit nervous about it. We shall see. Thanks for letting me fill this space with words that probably don't mean much to anyone but myself.
