8.31.07 - Feeling better today. Still no pain, but still a bit sick.
8.30.07 - Still sick from anesthesia! Other than that there really is no pain. There is a bit of soreness at the port muscle, but no pain at all around the incisions. No pain meds needed!!!
8.29.07 - Finally the day is here!! At hospital at 8:30 (lost 13 pounds pre-op), in holding at 10:17, back in room a little after 1:00. I didn't leave the hospital until 5:50 because I was sick from the anesthesia. Everytime I sat up to try to walk a little I got sick. Even when I finally started making my way to the car I was sick!
8.28.07 - Suzanne called today and gave my arrival time...8:30am.
8.22.07 - Because the date change, I am now on three liquid meals a day. The liquid diet, while not my favorite, is not as bad as I thought it would be. Luckily, I haven't had any of the withdrawal symptoms I expected to have.
8.21.07 - Jo from Dr. Edwards office called today to let me know that the insurance co. didn't want to pay for the surgery to be done at the Surgery Center, so we have to move it over to the hospital. With that, we needed to change the date...to the 29th!!!!
8.17.07 - Today I started the pre-op liquid phase. This was going to be the worst part for me, so we'll see how it goes. Two meals are liquid protein shakes and one meal is a small, normal meal. I can also have SF jello, pudding, popsicles.
8.16.07 - I had my pre-op visit with Dr. Edwards today - again, not very many questions. The date has been set for August 31, 2007!!!!
8.8.07 - Today I called the insurance co. to check on my approval status and was told it had been APPROVED!!!!! They are sending out the letters today. I called Mary at Dr. Edwards office immediately to get my pre-op appointment scheduled. As usual she is busy so I'm waiting for her to call me back.
7.23.07 - Today was the all-day behavioral class. It was a long day, but there was some interesting information.
7.6.07 - I talked to Mary today and she said that all of my stuff (3 inches of medical records) had been sent to insurance for approval 
. Mary told me that my insurance co. (Med-Pay) takes 30 days to make a decision!
7.5.07 - Today I had my exercise consult appointment with Amy.
6.29.07 - Today I had a visit with the nutritionist, Susan.
6.19.07 - I had my first visit with Dr. Edwards and also with Katie Branson for the psych visit. All went well. I felt a little strange not having a lot of questions for Dr. Edwards, but I have done sooooo much research that most of my questions had been answered.
5.21.07 - Went to informational session on WLS with Dr. Edwards at St. John's Hospital (Surgery Center).
