RECIPES

Nov 05, 2009

So a friend of mine told me about this website. We are in home group together through church and in our group we have 2 diabetics, I have had RNY and another friend who will be having RNY December 2nd I think it is so our group has had to reform ourselves and change eating habits. What I like about these recipes is it shows you the nutrition information and reviews. I also think some more things could be substitued such as splenda for sugar and splenda brown sugar for brown sugar as well as sugar free chocolate chips (which I just found the other day at the store but I could b the slow one here as they could've been out for a while) and sugar free fat free cool whip in place of the real stuff. Anyway, just alot of neat things for people trying to come up with new menu items and new things to try. Last night I tried spaghetti squash for the first time while the rest of the family had regular spaghetti noodles. It was really good. Zuchinni is also a good substitue in place of pasta for lasagna. I learned that off of Biggest Loser.

If anybody else has any ideas please let me know esp. with the holidays coming. Would be nice to see what we can come up with w/o feeling to deprived this holiday season.

Also if anyone could help, I know Splenda says cup for cup but to me that is just a little too sweet, also how does it do for baking?? Any help or ideas would be great!!

Here is the website I am referring too BTW...http://www.eatbetteramerica.com/
