Where do you begin to tell a love story of food that started at such a young age? I was always "big-boned" as my family loved to tell me. But, I was just fat. I lived a world of pasta, ramen noodles, hot dogs and macaroni and cheese, oh and not to mention the HAPPY MEAL. I was a picky kid who only liked the bad foods. So, I grew up to be an adult who at too much of the wrong foods and ended up with type II diabetes, high blood pressure, sleep apnea and high cholesterol. We adopted a little girl in 2006 after 3 years of failed attempts to get pregnant. We took her home and guess what my next doctors appointment later that week, I WAS 3 months PREGNANT. So, my children are 5 & 1/2 months apart, I need energy, stamina, and less weight to keep up with my two gifts from heaven!!!  This is what led me to laproscopic RNY. I knew it was drastic, but, it had to be done, I have two beautiful babies that I want to see grow up and a husband I am looking forward to growing old with. So, on 7/22/08 I had the surgery and am hoping that I am not one of those people who the surgery does not work for, for some reason I have a BIG fear of this....I will keep going & keep trying!!!!
