My story…Umm let me see. There is so much to my story I really don’t know where to begin so I guess I will start at the beginning.

From my birth I think I was destined to be a big girl. I weighed 10 lbs 9 oz. and was a chubby kid through about 1st grade.  After that I got lucky and grew up instead of out and really slimmed down.  I was very tall and my weight was not a problem throughout elementary, middle, & high school, I remember begin about 170lbs, standing 6’1” – I was a fine ass brick house!!!.

While in college I packed on the freshman 10, sophomore another 20, by my junior year I was about 210 – 215. Still being as tall as I am I looked good, so I continued partying hard and making bad food choices.  After college and entering the workforce I discovered what stress eating was and gained another 10 – 20 lbs. By this time I had become aware that I went from a size 12 to a size 16/18 within a few years and needed to do something, I lost a few pounds then…SCREECH…HOLD UP…I’m pregnant.  Damn more weight.  So I gain another 45 lbs while carrying my daughter.  The day I gave birth to my daughter I weighed 265.  Not to-to bad but this is the biggest I had ever been and did not look good.  So when Tyler (that’s my baby girl) was about 2 and I was about 24 I started working out, I didn’t change my eating habits but with the exercise I was able to get off about 30 lbs.

Fast forward a few years, and a nasty break-up with my daughter’s father the 30 lbs I lost came back to find my ass and brought friends with them.  I found a new love and he loved to eat and I loved cooking for him.  We got married 5 years ago and I have been blissfully happy but during my bliss my weight has shot up to 315 lbs.  WTF? Ok let me say it again 315 lbs.  I can’t believe it either but all the scales I’m trying are telling me the same damn thing.

Do you know what 315 lbs means?  That is the combined weight of and average man & women (185 lbs + 130 lbs).  Seriously?!? Damn!

 Anyhoo,

So with the support of my loving husband and daughter I am doing the Lap Band!  I am praying that this will give me the aid I need to control my portion size while I make better food choices.
