After many diets and yo-yoing for many years, my Dr.s and I decided that on Nov 12th 2010 I would undergo roux-en-y surgery. On the day of my surgery I weighed in at my highest weight of 250 pounds. I'm 5'7" down from 5'8" (I'm 54) and have lost total height over the years.
Today, (Jan 22) I weigh138# and have gone from a size 26w to a size juniors 11/12 (some 10) I've surpassed my goal
This past Thursday I have been diagnosed with a rare throat cancer. Not associated with RNY. Due to years of GERD.
My eventual health and recovery from cancer will be much better due to my weight loss.
