Hello Friends,
I have been going through A LOT since I last posted...New Doctors, different Insurance, more medical issues, family issues, this that and everything...bottom line I am sick very sick, fat and still need this surgery. So please everyone keep me in your prayers, and believe with me that this time 3 years later, next week when I submit referral to insurance company for stage 1 I will be approaved and ready for stage 2 and then off to stage 3 of the insurance guidliness. Well, to whom seems to care...i have been gone a long time now, no posts, no emails, just haven't talk to anyone, no by my choice for sure. I guess i just haven't made any friends on here who really care what's been going on with me. So, i am just gonna write what;s been up to date.
Okay, lost my court battle, bottom line was i didnt qualify to their requirements only because i wasnt diebetic or have this degenerate bone disease. crazy but that's their rules, and it took over a year and 4 court hearings for them to tell me that. horrible, just plain horrible to put a person through all that, when they could have told me that from the beginning.
so, now i am 30lbs heavier, still very sick and a lot of other major problems going on and we are now looking at the Lap Band to see if i meet the requirements there and God willing, i will be blessed with this surgery and not have to go through a bunch of crap to get there. please just pray for me, i really want to be where you are if you have had surgery already and loose the pounds like you all have,. love ya and thanks for coming by to see what's up with tiff. bye and God bless

On August 16, 2009-Still in Court with Insurance

Well, it's been a long time since I updated. My insurance and I have been to court three times, each time getting postponed for different reasons. Recently, they asked me to do a list of things before they make there final decision if I can get the surgery or not. I am really ready for this surgery and wish they we go ahead a let me get it done. Let's just keep praying. Final paperwork is getting faxed tomorrow and I hope they make a decision in the next week or two.

Prayer Needed...

I have not updated in a long time...I have been fighing with insurance and appeals ever since my last post. Please stay in prayer with me about this final appeal. The insurance company has come back to me and said they found new evidence and requested some final paperwork from the doc and then they will let me know if we need to proceed going to court on all this. I really really need this approved and i really need everyone's support in prayer that is will come back approved by the end of next week I am hoping to hear something. Thanks so much to everyone who diligently goes into prayer with me on this approval for rny surgery. Thanks again.

Okay my obesity family...I need your help in praying that my appeal letter will get approaved. I sent it in today and I hope to hear some good news real soon. Thanks to everyone who helped me put this letter together and gave me ideas, sample letters ect...it really helped a lot.
So, let's keep praying and believing the word of God. I know if it is to happen there is no sropping it...I need to get healthy and I need this surgery. AMEN!

My insurance denied me...boo hoo...NOW WHAT? I don't know what to do, where to go, or what to say? I have no support system, not much help from my doctor, I am over weight, unhealthy, need this surgery and now depressed. HELP!

Yes it true...I am hosting a Ladies' Night on Dec. 13th to celebrate my 40th birthday...I can hardly wait to celebrate and have fun with some of my Lady friends>Were gonna laugh, eat, drink, dance and have a time of our life...saying welcome to the FORTYS...This is gonna be my year and I am looking forward to my RNY surgery soon, being single and 40...WHOO HOOOOO!!!!

Well, here's the low down...last week OHSU-the hospital that's gonna do my surgery says they need an referral authorization number for each thing that I will need to have done with them...so this is how it's gonna go...
OHSU calls me and says this is what we need to do....
I call my primary doctor abd tell her...(when she is good and ready- it took 5 working days the first time she did this-because she is busy) she fills out paperwork
then she calls the office referral person(and when she is good and ready-you know those busy, burried, over loaded days can't get to your stuff today) then she faxes, prepares a certified letter as well to insurance company
then insurance company has up to two weeks to review and authorize paperwork
then it goes back to primary doctor-)when she feels like dealing with it again)
who then contacts office referral person(again when she has time or whatever) who then faxes, certified letter to OHSU
then OHSU calls me to finally make that appointment (again when they have time to deal with calling me to make an appointment- that is usually a month or more out....
I AM GOING CRAZY-------why does it have to be like this. All of that above it gonna take FOREVERRRRRRRRRRRRR.
I am really not feeling this at all anymore. SOmeone here at OH said to me
HOLD on it will be worth the ride, but dang I feel like I have been BAMBOOZELD!
