As of yesterday, December 1st.....it has been 3 years since my DS surgery and I feel GREAT!!!  I am still down 230 pounds and am sooo thankful for being given this wonderful gift!!

One year ago today a procedure changed my life forever.  The Duodenal Switch was done this time a year ago today and I am eternally grateful to my surgeon and all of the assistants that helped make my surgery a success!!  As of today, I have lost a total of 215 pounds and am still losing (although not at such a rapid pace as before) and look forward to reaching my goal weight of 300 pounds.  Looking back, I would definetely do it again and am so grateful to Dr. Al Spaw and the staff at the Metabolic Surgery Center in Nashville, TN for helping me achieve this thing that I never thought I would see again, being able to life my life to the fullest!!

On a side note, the Metabolic Surgery Center at Baptist Hospital in Nashville is starting a Duodenal Switch support group for anyone in the Nashville area which will start meeting in January.  You can contact them at 615-284-2400 for more details!!

Today is it!!  The day I have waited for since the surgery...The day I could tell everyone that I have finally passed 200 pounds lost!!  I am so grateful to Dr. Spaw and they whole team at the Baptist Metabolic Surgery Center for all of the help and support they have given me!!  I can now see my goal of being under 300 pounds becoming a reality!!
