I have been overweight for all of my adult life and have decided to stop with the yo-yo dieting and do something to really change my life. My doctor suggested the weight loss surgery about 2 years ago and I have been researching it since then. I made up my mind in June of last year and was put on the waiting list for medicare. It was 10 months that I was waiting to be approved and now I am on my way to start a new life with WLS. I don't have a surgery date yet, but it will be soon, but not soon enough for me. I am looking for friends to help me with my journey to successful weight loss. I have the support of my kids and my ex, but my family(mother, sisters and brother) are totally against this and think that I will kill myself. I don't have much contact with them anymore and would like to have someone other than my ex to talk to.
