Well, it’s official! You’re on the losing side. The trumpets are blaring, the cymbals are crashing and the drums are drumming – all for YOU! I hope that all went well for you! You’ve been out of surgery now for a little over a month – YIPPIE!!! Your journey will have moments to “pause” – I’d like to impart some words of wisdom for when it does occur - remember these wise words whispered by Confucius – “It does not matter how slowly you go so long as you do not stop.” Be patient. You didn’t put it on over night, it won’t come off over night (DARN IT!)…Don’t forget to update your profile at least monthly and take lots of pictures…the transformations will make your jaw drop!!! RNY 10/31/03 – down 90 pounds!!! Good luck!

Nothing exists but momentarily...One thing flows into another....observe things as they are, let everything go as it goes. This is to put everything under go as it goes. This is to put everything under control in its widest sense. - Zen Wisdom! May God keep you close to his side as you travel this new journey. You will have ups and downs. You will have fears and joys. Remember that we, your AMOS family, is always here for you. You will discover that this will be the singlemost BEST thing you could ever do for yourself and your family. I know I did! I pray you have a speedy and easy recovery. Keep us posted when you reach the "other" side. Good luck and God Bless!!! RNY 10/31/03 -77!!!

Hi Vanessa, I'd say don't be nervous but, heck I was. Of course it was for nothing (except I burned a few more calories) because my surgery went just fine. I had soreness afterwards and frankly, my back hurt worse than my incision. For me, the week before surgery was worse than the week after. Remember to keep it positive. That includes keeping only positive people around because before surgery we are so sensitive to every comment people make. It will be just fine. I hope all your health and weight loss dreams come true,
