Hi, my name is Jeff!
I'm a 24 year old chap living outside of Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Currently I am 6'3" and 720lbs. Needless to say I am a very big boy. Fortunately due to my height and the fact that I have a big frame I carry my weight relatively well so I am still ambulatory (for the most part). I would be so lost without the degree of independence I still have (for the moment anyway).
I have spent the past 6 years researching weight loss surgery. I have had a few consultations but for the most part was always left with more questions than answers. Unfortunately Canada just does not cut it when it comes to surgeons who are able to accomodate those who are in need of help.
The biggest challenge I face is finding a surgeon who is willing to work with an individual that has a BMI of 90.1. It is frustrating and very disheartening. Just when you think you found an open door it is slammed in your face and youf all flat on your ass.
It is my hope that I will have the surgery that will free me from the prison I am living in will happen before 2009 comes to a close. I am optimistic...at the present anyway.
