Finally, November 2013, Medicaid says yes!

It has been a bell of a journey, the next step is the operating room on Wedneday, January 22, 2014! It took me over five years and a ton of denial by Medicaid before I finally got my approval. I am very nervous about the surgery and how I will feel afterwards. God help me and be with me through this final step to a health life.
Finally, A Cardiologist Referral !!

Finally, I went to my primary care physician and he gave me a referral to a cardiologist. I will see the cardiologist on the 16th of November, and from there I will have to fax his findings to the doctor I have chosen to do the surgery [Dr Isbell in Fort Payne]. I was not prepared for all this, but I can understand why they make you go through all this work. If you're not ready to do your own research and hard work, don't bother trying to have this surgery. I am now thinking about the future with a happier feeling, and a feeling of being able to live again, the way I once did. I just pray to God that everything I am doing is the right thing, and I pray that everything goes well with this cardiologist. Anyone who reads this, if you can tell me what happens when you go to the Cardiologist, I would really appreciate it. I am proud of myself for having come this far, although I know the journey is just beginning in a major way. Pray for me, those of you who pray.

Alabama Medicaid

I have had nothing but problems finding a doctor in Alabama who accepts Medicaid for this surgery; I finally found one, Dr Isbell, in Ft Payne, AL, but now I have to see a cardiologist before they will even see me in their office. Help. Does anyone have a clue what I am supposed to do next. :/
