3-Year Anniversary

Jan 19, 2009

I can't beleive it's been 3 years!  I have managed to re-gain only 20 pounds after a 155# total loss, continue to love life, and even started exercising and joined a gym with a trainer!  That was the biggest change in my personal lifestyle. My struggle with emotional eating continues, but I win more than I lose.  The habits established early-on serve me well.  I am happy and if asked to do it again there would be no hesitation.   This has changed and saved my life in all ways - physically, and emotionally.

Fall 07

Oct 06, 2007

The time continues to fly by.
Not alot of progress on the weight loss, but lots of living going on!
Our daughter's wedding was wonderful, a day filled with family and friends and incredible memories. She was beautiful and so exuded happiness. What a joy.  It was fun getting ready for the big day. My girlfriends are very talented on the arts and crafts world so with their help we created a fantasy reception. Kate, our oldest daughter was glowing! She had such a great time and we boggied all nite! Work is so busy. I recruit software engineers and technical sales people for our consutling firm. Great market and urgency is name of the game.
I feel great and have the energy to make it all happen. Life is good.
Time to reset the pouch a little, just to de-carb my tastes. I find I am getting used ot all that "stuff" again. Some foods just don't set on some days:
eggs one day, salad the next, but nothing I can't handle. Thank goodness sweets are still not setting well:-).
Still @ 221#;s as of 10/6/07  and have 30#'s to go till real goal.
No plastics yet, DR says to wait to lose the 30 and husband just not prepared for more surgery with me. So, we just stuff the "junk" and enjoy.

Good Morning

May 20, 2007

I see it's been December since I posted.  Down to 224# and feeling wonderful. Lots of walking and fun. Stamina is incredible. Have become a shopping addict.
My daughter got engaged in Janurary and we are planning a Sept 22, 2007 wedding. Got a beautful dress- (no way that would have happened before) and have the energy needed to get it all done.
Work is busy- lots of sales people to hunt and hire. Supporting friends and their life issues, and just enjoying each day.
Working with my new life style. - trying to eat normally with smaller approriate portions. it works. just not losing more weight.
I can feel that emotional eating urge often- boredeom usually, so keeping very busy helps.
will try to be better about this.

Dec 17, 2006

Busy lately- getting ready for Christmas at home, shopping, cards, parties, travel- all the good stuff. Got to Boston and Atlanta for the holiday parties.  It was woderful to get on the plane and fit in the seat and buckle the seat belt!  I felt normal for the first time in my life- well, as normal as I can right now.
Shopping has been awesome!! the Energy is incredible and have been to the MOA even.
The day I was to do to Boston I had to stop by Macy's and pick up a new pair of pants- the suit pants I'd bought in Oct were too big!! what a great thing.
Current weight:  233- 13 pounts to my Dr's goal and 35 from the nurses.
Size: 18 tops - 1x
          20 bottoms
both are getting lose.
Bra- 44C
The merriest of Christmases to all- just wish my dad was here.
love and peace.

Nov 18, 2006

ok- time to fess up.  I have been so bad-  into popcorn and even ate a piece of candy.  The bad parts are:  eating too much popcorn and letting my emotional eating take over.
and
not realizing I am not on a diet- but retraining my eating habits.
down to 242#s - size 20 pants. 18 tops. or 1x. - usually.
a year ago, a size 20 would have seemed a miracle, but now that I'm here I am having major anxiety about not losing more. Logic isn't working. Think I need to chat with my nurse. Monday will be the day to call Doroty.
more later

9 month Checkup

Oct 30, 2006

Went to see Dorothy today @ PNC for my 9 month check up.
Down 137#'s -
BP 120/68 - off  the BP meds totally for 4 months now.
I've lost 18.5 inches from my waist
16" from my hips
43# away from final goal!!!
BMI 38 now - was at 59 pre-surgery
can eat about 3/4 cup solids- she said I will be up to 1/5 cups in about 6 months or so.  That scares me a little-

Wish I knew how to update my photo on the left- that's a 3 month photo.
Feeling good-love shopping and the walking associated with that.
I'll be traveling to ATlanta and to Boston for holiday parties - company type- the first time I've traveled being thinner- hope I don't need the extension seat belt this time.
