 It's been a long, long road of tests, phone calls, and appointments but here I am! I will be having Lap Band surgery at Winthrop Hospital on 12-8-08 with Dr. Brathwaite. I'm absolutely terrified and totally excited at the same time. I've never had surgery before but I trust Dr. Brathwaite. He has wonderful bedside manner and an amazing reputation. I hope that I can be as successful as others have been with the lap band. I've been preparing for everything I will need in my new life style. I bought the Magic Bullet it's a mini blender system so I can make all kinds of protein shakes, soups, even fat free sorbet! It came with a little cook book loaded with ideas. My mom picked up my chewable vitamins the other day and I'm gotten a few pairs of drawstring pants. Still have more things to get before surgery but I'm getting there! 
I will keep everyone posted. 
Any advise is GREATLY appreciated!
