Finally have a date!

Jul 22, 2015

I have no idea where to start So I guess I'll start from the beginning. In March of 2014 I was diagnosed with PCOS and had to go in for surgery to remove some (benign) cysts from my uterus. After the surgery was over, the surgeon gave me some information on Wright loss surgery. After debating for a few months with myself, saying ugh I don't need it I can do it on my own, and trying yet another diet, I came to the conclusion that I needed help.

So finally in May I called the bariatric center to register for an info session. My dad came with me because at the time he was unsure about the process and wanted to ask the surgeon questions as well. Long story short...I had all my appointments and was scheduled for October 14, 2014. I was super ready to change my life, excited about having a new outlook, and then in August...I lost my job and the insurance that came with it. It took until December to get new insurance, only to find out the hospital doesn't accept that insurance. I changed my insurance again only to find out last month that they don't accept that insurance either. Right away I got the.hospital AND the insurance company on the phone to figure out what to do. Both people I spoke to were extremely helpful and we got everything all figured out.

Which brings me to my appointment today...

Found out I had everything the insurance required with the exception of 1 more nutrition visit (which is scheduled for Sept 2). I also had to lab work done, but my Upper GI and h pylori tests are all good and I am so excited!!

Apparently they also discovered a hiatal hernia during my Upper GI last year so they're going to repair that during surgery too.

So excited, here's to FINALLY enjoying life!!
