8/2/00 went very well, Dr. Boone was WONDERFUL and St. Agnes was a really good hospital. I went into surgery at a little before 11:00 am but did not get to my room until around 4:00 pm. The last thing I remember in preop room was the nurse coming to say she was going to be my taxi driver! Ha ha! The nursing staff were very attentive which was nice except in the middle of the night when you just got to sleep! My blood sugar had been running between 177 & 200 taking two pills a day before surgery & after it went down to 113 at one reading but averaged around 126. That's great! The swelling in my legs is already better. I go for my first postop Dr. appt on Tues 8/8/00 so we will see how I am doing. According to my scale I'm down 8 pounds in 4 days WOW!! Will keep you updated as things progress!

Hi and thanks for the prayers, it's great to hear from other people that are undergoing this same surgery but on the same day...toooo neat! I feel confident for all of us..July 31st is the day!!! lol Can ya tell I'm a little anxious? Best wishes to you and your husband...keep us posted on his approval and surgery date also! Ann, I'll also be praying for you. Since we're having surgery the same day, let's keep in touch so that we can share our progress. I see you're having a LAP, while mine is an Open RNY. Hope everything goes well

Ann, Hey there you left a posting on my surgery page. I wanted to update you. I finally got approved and my surgery is scheduled for July 14th! I am the one that lives in Lemoore, Ca.
