loud digestion- how long?

Hi, I am just about 3 weeks out from surgery, and my digestion sounds are loud as heck.  Will this fade away later, or is this the way it is from now on? People can hear me during and after eating, and hear it well. Is this an issue for many DSers?   THANKS.

I got well used to it before it finally went away.  Plan on this being your new normal for a year or so.

I am a year and a half out and I still get the loud gurgles. I immediately think that it is attributable to the DS (and to an extent I'm sure it is), but then I'll sit next to a non-DSer and hear something similar. I have forgotten all the noises (and bloating) that I had before my DS!

Two and a half years out and mine STILL talks to me, LOUDLY at times...but not all the time...it just has spells. Then again, mine had been known to talk to me before the DS as well...

Almost three years out, and based on me learning my body, I have better control.  Its the choices which improved it, and time.

What makes my stomach go completely out of control is sugary soda, NO More for Sunshine. High carbs.  I only eat my high carb foods after 11 in the morning, and stop at 6.  For me it works for better bathroom, and body noises.  In the morning I enjoy my coffee time, or NO carb foods, or a protein shake. Typically morning consist of my coffee.

But remember, it took some time for me to find a regimen that works for me.

Funny...I just commented not 5 minutes prior to reading this that my stomach sounds like there is a war going on in there.

I'm 5 years out, so no, it's probably here to stay.  You'll get used to it.

I'm over four years out, and I still get it if I let myself go too long between meals.

I eat small meals every 2-3 hours,  plus protein shakes, and that usually keeps my gurgles away!

I'm 7 years out and it still happens for a time after I eat or if I'm nervous.  Last Christmas I was singing in a Messiah performance and I heard it.  There I am on the stage in the second row and I heard it.  I tried to tell myself that I was being paranoid, but then my fellow sopranos started glancing around and I knew I'd just added to the percussion section.  It stopped after intermission, though so the rest of the performance was fine.:)
