Surgical scars, excess skin and cellulite be damned!

I should have done a LBL instead of just my tummy. Because I had a major hernia fixed at that time it didn't even come up in the discussion I had with my surgeons. If I knew then what I know now I would have done things differently. But overall I am happy with what I have had done so far. I'm just a work in progress. So boobs, bum, thighs and a little more fat added to my cheeks are still on my todo list. They may never get done but who knows.
What type of implants did you do again Bev? Were they put in under the muscle? Smooth or textured? Round or contoured?

LBL fixed my butt shelf, that's why I got it done, but it really doesn't touch the thighs. As I learned to fix thighs, you need a thigh lift. I had my hernia fixed with my LBL, my general surgeon was so facinated with my LBL surgery (had never seen one) that he stayed for the whole thing. At my post op apt he said "wow that was a lot of cutting!!" =)

Hey darlin' - YOU GO GIRL!!!

I hear you with the "still imperfect" parts and the scars.  I feel the same way.  I recently bought a bikini (but got the little "skirty" bottom, I was too afraid to get a real bikini bottom!) and wore it to the pool at our hotel with my bestie.  It was terrifying.  But I'm glad I did it.

I'm going to wear it in my yard this summer and get all tanned so that I can feel better wearing it on the beach in Hawaii.  I might even go buy a little bikini bottom now - you've inspired me.

I can't believe we still worry about what we look like.  I think we should imagine what we'd look like in a bikini BEFORE wls and get over ourselves, huh?  I have a bra and panties pic that I sent to OHIP that is positively terrifying.... lol

As long as I don't turn around and look at my ass/thighs in the mirror I feel ok about it =)

Enjoy your trip.

I am "proud" to show off my accomplishments including the scars from my plastics because before I would not wear a bikini and I wore one on my cruise this year.

Looking forward to wearing my bikini this summer at my trailer!!

I"m ok with strangers but my work people still have no idea I have had ANY surgeries lol. It'll probably happen this summer when I stop wearing sweaters (arm scars) ;)

Have fun on your vacation. I'm sure you'll not have a moment's regret that you wore a bikini, in fact I bet you'll feel very proud that you did.
