Surgery tomorrow at 8:00 am in Ottawa!
Just got the call with my surgery time and it is 8:00 am. I have to be at the hospital at 6:15 am. So happy to be getting this done in the morning! I am extremely calm about it right now and feeling very lucky that it is my time to post this news! Thanks to everyone for all of the support over the past months it has been so great to have everyone to lean on. I will hopefully post tomorrow! See you on the flip side!!!!!!!

All the best tomorrow! I too had the 8 a.m. surgery slot. Once you arrive at 6:15, you are called and go to change into the lovely hospital gowns. Then they get you into a bed and the nurse goes over some things with you and gets you to swallow some pills and if you are wearing the compression stockings, she puts them on you. By 7:30 you are being wheeled to the O.R.
Looking forward to hearing how things went.
Judy
Wishing you the best of luck and a speedy recovery !

Trauma unit nurses are great and so is Dr Raiche and her team
Good Luck!
If you live out of town you might want to consider the travel lodge... they have a decent hospital rate and are two min from the hospital.... just with the weather and all:)
