Surgery Monday

So I have surgery bright and early Monday morning, 7:45am. I am ready to rock this RNY but I`m scared crapless about the actual surgery and am having bad anxiety about it.  Had a family died on the table during a routine surgery and since then the thought of surgery gives me the heebie jeebies.

I can do this, yes I can.

Yes you could die from any surgery. But you could also die from complications from obesity or just crossing the street. We take risks all the time. You have researched this and gotten all the info you can have. You are being operated on by someone who has done this surgery successfully a tons of time.

It is scary but Your positive attitude will help you through this.

Good luck Monday

You will do fine!  There is risk but that is true about everything, especially doing nothing about obesity or doing the same thing we have for a long time and expecting a different outcome!  All the best for an uneventful surgery and speedy healing!

Best of luck to you.

I am so happy that you finally have your day to change your life to a healthy one.

Just remember to keep asking for pain meds from the nurse every 3 to 4 hours for the first and 2nd day.

Then you will not have very much pain, at all.

Mine was just a bit uncomfortable and I was in on Wednesday at 1P.M. and out on Friday by 11:30 A.M.

It is very natural to be nervous, but you will do fine.

I hope that you have a very uneventful surgery and a speedy recovery.

I used to huff and puff , when I went up the stairs.

As soon as I got home, It went away.

This surgery is truly a miracle and a second chance for a great life.

Hugs,

Brooke

I'm excited for you and I'm excited for me, too!  My surgery is Monday afternoon and like you I am scared, however, I would be miserable if I did nothing at all.  I am unable to lose the weight and keep it off on my own! I'm 55 years old and my plan is to live another 30 years and for me this is the only way.  I wish you luck and pray for a super speedy recovery!

My surgery is Friday April 26th and like you I am getting more nervous and scared the closer it gets.  I know I am doing the right thing and am excited but the nerves are really starting.  Where are you having your surgery done?  I am trying to keep my eye on the end results.  Good luck.
