I think I read that some people recommend Wendy's chilli. Is this for mushy stage?

I would wait if I were you. It is a bit strong even when I was six months out it upset my stomach. I can eat it just fine now but I know I would have been in pain back then. Everyone is different though.

That's probably more of a soft food, and even then I might tell you to hold off. The beef is the issue for me. I can eat it fine now, but I remember at 2 months out when I first tried it, it was a bit of a struggle. I'd stick to puree's tuna/chicken salad and whatnot for a while longer. YMMV and follow your surgeon's advice, obviously.

Thanks! It sounds like I need to wait. Just tired of fish and eggs, but I will just have to be patient. It's not forever. Thanks again for the advice.

I've had it since the time I could eat it. At first could only eat 1/2 of it...now...almost a year out....if that's all I'm eating...I can eat the whole small. It's delicious and you feel like it's a "treat". I love the way I eat now!!

I have had it since two months out.  I like spicy foods tho.  It was no problem for me.  I got the small and was only able to eat like two spoons at first.  I put it in the fridge - and reheated for next "meal".  lol.

Our NUT told us to whiz it up in the blender and call it "bean bisque."

I was told it was good for the soft stage.  I ate a small in 2 meals.

I have been eating it since 3 weeks out.  That was my first real food and it was HEAVEN!!!  That first small chili lasted me 3 servings.  At 6 months out I now eat about 1/2 of it.  I get cheese & onions added.  This is my basic go-to food if I am on the road and need to stop for something quick and easy.
