Anyone have any idea why chicken makes me want to vomit almost before I swallow? I never had problem with chicken before. Not only does it make me nauseous but it takes almost a whole day to get over it.

It makes me vomit when I swallow it no matter how long I chew it. It takes time.

I can eat dark meat but white has to be hidden under a sauce otherwise it doesn't go down...

I had a very tuff time with chicken up to 3 months post op. I can eat it no problem now, but have the same problem with ground beef now Hmmm?

Chicken definitely gives me some trouble too. I used to love a breast of chicken. Now....not so much. Even thigh is a little tough unless its really moist.

I do have it sometimes though, because red meat is still the most tricky for me and I get a bit over tuna and eggs sometimes!...lol

Chicken (breast meat especially) is probably the toughest meat to digest post sleeve....give it time.  I couldn't get it down regularly until almost five months and it STILL gives me fits if I eat too fast.

Put it to the side for a few months, and then try again.  And use chicken thighs instead of breast meat.  Thighs are moister and easier to go down.

Try some canned chicken or cook the chicken in the crockpot. I lived on chicken
before surgery & still do , but had trouble with it unless it is cooked in the crock or canned. I also can not tolerate ground turkey like pre op.
