What is this feeling?

Every once in awhile I have an odd feeling in between meals. I feel somewhat nauseous. Somewhat like my stomach is totally empty. Somewhat gassy. It's just an odd feeling. Like now. This morning I had OJ, some apple and some hard boiled eggs. Lunch is in 45 minutes but I have this weird feeling. Am I not drinking enough? Should I be wrong between meals? Anyone else?

I get that too but ignore it. Try drinking when you get that feeling just to see what happens. Do you drink a lot of OJ (lots of sugar), it could be the acid from that too.

My dr never said anything about OJ. I do drink a small glass a day. I love it. It's like my coffee, gets me moving in the morning. And now that I'm caffeine free it really gets me moving. I know it's high in sugar though so I have to stop. As soon as this carton is done I'm going to stop buying it. I do love it though.

There are lower sugar options, but still pretty high. Try tropicana 50 (I think). You could always juice your own too to make sure there is no added sugar at all, but it still has a lot of sugar. I would imagine it is getting you going because you are on a sugar high. Seems like we can't have anything we love. What about some fresh squeezed lemon juice with stevia or splenda?

thats a lot of juice which tends to be gassy , also my doctor does not allow oj for a few months because it is very acid and only watered down apple juice

It is either acid or you are having an insulin rush from the carbs and sugars.

It would definitely be the acid if it were me. I can't tolerate super acidic items even at 7 months out. Not to be judgy but why are you having OJ ? It's almost all sugar ?

I too get that nauseous feeling, I ask my doctor and she said it could be low blood sugar. I usually drink through it and am hoping it goes away.

I get that feeling sometimes too.  I generally drink some water or decaf tea and maybe eat a piece of cheese and it goes away.  It  has always passed in about 10 minutes for me.

I was told no citrus for at least 6months post op. The OJ is full of sugar, calories and acid. Might be making your stomach uncomfortable.
