I am 25 days post op and was wondering when to start introducing fruits and salads to the diet.  I have stuck with scrambled eggs and chicken for most of my diet.  I have had a few green beans but am getting anxious to introduce other items to the diet. I am doing great with what I am doing but am really missing watermelon.

Just keep on moving

i havent had a lot of luck with the veg ... some brocoli and peppers, that's about it.  for the fruits ... been sticking with the low glycemic fruits strawberry and blueberries (usually in my greek yogurt!),  I think everyones plan varies, but you are likely getting close.

I was told to wait on the raw veggies and fruits with seeds and skin until I hit week 6. I think with watermelon you will be okay just make sure not to swallow any of the seeds. Hope this helps!

It depends on the food. They are not all of the same. I was allowed watermelon early (don't remember when). I used it to have 1-2 bites to have something watery at the end of my meal to fight thirst. Raw veggies were much later.  They can be harsh. high carb fruits were never on my plan. Watermelon was on my list during the soft food stage. If you don't have a list, then find one.

funny my nut said not to eat eggs at first because they will taste funny and then I will never want to eat them again , she said I should wait a few weeks before trying them

the first few month you will need to eat mostly protein , very little else will fit and you need the protein
