3 month checkup

VSG on 04/04/13

I had my 3 month post-op checkup yesterday....

Lab were, well awesome!!!

A1c = 5.0 (no longer type 2 diabetic)
Cholesterol, and Triglycerides were in the good range for the first time since, ever.
BP = 117 / 74

Doctor wants me off all meds other than vitamins, calcium, B12, PPI, and my Gallbladder meds. Currently I only take a BP med, I have been off all others since surgery on 4/4/13.

Originally I was told I would loose 60 to 75 percent of my excess body weight with in the first year, I was down 76% at 3 months.

Yesterday was a good day!

Hurray! Isn't it amazing how quickly the sleeve and the eating plan resolve serious health issues? Keep up the good work!

amazing...my 3-month lab work will be in a couple of weeks...well there is no way I will match your weight loss success, but I am praying for good lab results...the a1c you have is awesome..I got as high as 11 and my # the month before surgery was still around 9 ....keep up your outstanding work
