I would ask your surgeon for something for the nausea. It does get better. I had a really rough go for a few weeks but about week 5.. everything turned around and I felt totally normal. Not going to lie though.. the first 2 weeks were awful but SO worth it!

Everyone's body reacts differently.  My doctor sent me home with medication for pain as well nausea, call the doctor.  I felt better in  about a week and a half. Hang in there!

The pain on your left side sounds like radial pain from the gas during surgery. I had a similar effect. It fades a bit every day for 5 days or so.

The nausea goes away also usually on a similar pattern. My doc prescribed some kind of patch I wore for about a week. Not sure when the benefit of it wore off but it stopped the nausea I had on the 1st day.

Remember, you're only 2 days out and this was not a miracle procedure. You just had surgery two days ago. While probably minimally evasive, it was still a surgery. Ifthe pain gets worse or you develop a fever you should remember to call your doc

You're only 2 days out. Yes it does get better but it takes time. Your left side could be hurting because depending on your surgeon's technique, your largest incision might be there. I know mine was. If you're having gas pains, walking and moving around will help that. Be gentle with yourself and be patient. I promise you that this is worth it!

I felt great before I left the hospital, but I can tell you any kind of discomfort I had at all was gone by the 3rd week.

The pain you're feeling is probably gas. Try to walk around this helps a lot. It should ease up in the next couple days. As for the nausea ask the Dr. for anti nausea medication this shouldn't be a problem. I needed to try a couple until I found relief. Give your body time this was major surgery. Best of luck :)

I also suggest calling our doctor.  there are many meds they can give you for the nausea.  I felt like I had the flu for about three days after surgery.  Day 5 I went to a work meeting for a half day and felt fine.  The real turning point for me was week 7 when the swelling went down in my tummy, the queasiness passed, and I felt normal again.

It will get a little better every day, and then you'll be home free, losing weight, getting healthier and so glad you did it.

best wishes,

Carol

I had pain in my shoulder for 2 days from gas walking really helped , very little pain after 2 days except a little from when the drain was ripped out, I mean removed I had no nausea , and im now eating 3-4 oz of fish , meatballs, tuna , loving how this is filling me up , but still working on getting all my liquids in , i drink them but it takes all day , also scheduling when to take pills is a chore < calcium 3 times a day , multy 2 different times a day , blood thinner twice a day , galbladder pills twice a day but it is getting better

are you taking a ppi that might help your nausea , or ask foe an antiemedtic  they work wonders if you take the right 1
