Thanks!

My program does not include oatmeal. My puree stage focuses on Protein. I ate Dannon Light and Fit greek yogurt. Low in calories and high in protein.

Probably but to be on the safe side I would grind it up before making it.

Every plan is different. My plan in the pureed stage indicated oatmeal or cream of wheat. Yes..probably better to grind it first.

my plan still does not allow oatmeal. I at 5 1/2 months, I think it is because of no protein and alot of carbs.

I had some during the pureed stage but you will probably want to add more milk or water once it is cooked.  I only did this in the beginning and then stopped when I was on more solid foods and concentrated on getting my protein in and lower carbs.  There are benefits to eating oatmeal though because of the fiber.

I didn't eat it until I started to add soft foods.  As advised eat it very loose if you are going to try it now.  As far as the carbs go, I add a scoop of protein powder to mine everyday.  I lost all my weight doing this. I did not eat falvored oatmeal which has a great deal of sugar in it.  I would add the only other carbs I eat are from veggies and milk products.  My daughter, who was diabetic, told me that her nutritionist always told her to add protien when eating carbs to avoid spikes in blood sugar. The protien keeps me full until lunch.

Thanks, everyone. I am going to avoid the oatmeal until I hit regular foods.
