Thank god today is my last day of school, because that has kept me busy. I  very nervous about tomorrow and what might happen. I have always been a positive person, but I am SCARED!

Any positive vibes would be appreciated!!

You will be fine. Just think in a little while you will be in the sleevers club. I'm making room on the loser's bench for you. Good luck and let us know how you are doing.

You survived what you thought would kill you. Now straighten your crown and go forward like the Queen you are!

The recovery from my VSG was so easy I sometimes wondered if it had REALLY been done--but the decrease in appetite was enough to ensure that it had, indeed, happened. :)  I hope your recovery is even smoother than mine was!

I am only three weeks out but I am feeling the same way.  Did I really do it?  Because the recovery, praise God, had been uneventful.

Its a very scary thing but I can tell you that it is worth it. There really is not that much to worry about. It will be over before you know it and you will be making your first steps to a whole new life. I am somewhere around 20 months post-op I have gone from 384lbs and a 54 waist to 194lbs and a 32 waist and no health problems. Focus on what life will be like after surgery and you will get through this just fine.

I had my surgery on Dec 3, 2013. It was the best decision that I have ever made. I have had some medical tests since surgery and everything has back with very positive results. That was not the case before surgery! When I woke up from surgery I felt like I had done a million sit ups. On the fifth day I felt fine. I followed my eating plan as noted. I am now at a good weight and I am looking forward to being out and about this summer! No more hiding and hating how I look! I still have about 25lbs or so to go but that is will taken care of since I have changed my relationship to food! Feeling terrific is TERRIFIC!!

Good luck, it is scary but you will be on your way to healing and health before you know it. I'm 2 weeks out, and it's been ok, it's a big change but take it day by day. Walk and do your breathing, stay hydrated!  Positive vibes coming your way.
